1. Information Collection and Use. We collect information from you when you place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form.

(a)            Orders

(i)             If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form.  You must provide contact information (such as name, email, telephone and credit card billing address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date).

(ii)          When you enter your contact information and financial information on our website, we encrypt it using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

(iii)          We use financial information only for billing purposes and to fill your orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

(iv)          When you order a product or service from us at our website, we will normally send you an order confirmation email.

(v)           The email address you provide for order processing will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order.  If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc.

(b)           Use of Information

Any of the information we collect from you may be used to personalize your experience, to improve our website and customer service, to process transactions, to administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature or to send periodic emails.

2. Collection and Use of Children’s Personal Information. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 years of age to purchase products or services from StaticWest.com, nor do we knowingly collect any personal information from or target such persons.  Accordingly, if you are under the age of 13, please do not attempt to purchase products or services from StaticWest.com or provide any information about yourself to us through StaticWest.com, mail, email or otherwise.  In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

3. Customer Service. We generally will communicate with you via your email address when responding to your inquiries, providing services that you may request from time to time or for communications relating to the management of your account.

4. Service-related Announcements. We may send you service-related announcements.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.  You may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.  If you do not wish to receive them, you may deactivate your account.

5. Profile. When you use StaticWest.com, we may collect cookies and maintain log files of your activity to create a profile of your preferences.  This enables us to provide you with tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve StaticWest.com content for you.

(a)            Log Files

As is true of most websites, StaticWest.com automatically gathers and maintains a record of certain information.  This information includes your internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), your referring and/or exit pages, operating system, a date/time stamp and clickstream data.  We use this sort of information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer StaticWest.com, track users’ movements around the site and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.  We may, in our sole discretion, link IP addresses to personally identifiable information in order to monitor use of our products and/or detect and track potential violations of our rights.

(b)           Cookies

We use a third-party service that utilizes cookies to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to StaticWest.com so that we may understand and improve StaticWest.com and our other product offerings.  A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your computer for record-keeping purposes.  We may also link the information that we store in cookies to the personally identifiable information you submit while on StaticWest.com for various purposes such as understanding how you use content on StaticWest.com and which of its features are most used by you.  If you reject cookies in your web browser, you may be unable to purchase products or services on StaticWest.com or use our other website-based products and services you purchase.

(c)            Clear Gifs (Web Beacons)

We may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. “Web Beacons”), to help us better manage the content of our email newsletters and marketing offers.  Clear gifs, similar in function to cookies, are used to track which of our messages are read by you and other StaticWest.com users.  In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly in email messages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.  We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to your personally identifiable information.

6. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties.

(a)            We may share personally identifiable information about you with certain third parties who act as our agents or service providers for delivering the products and services you purchase, for delivering email messages containing service-related announcements or for delivering marketing-related email messages.  When we engage third-parties for such purposes, they must agree to restrictions against using any personally identifiable information for unpermitted purposes.

(b)           We may also share aggregated demographic information about customers with other companies who market our products or who incorporate our content into their products or services.  This information does not identify individual users and we do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.

(c)            We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and/or to comply with judicial proceedings, government investigations, court orders or legal process served on us, as well as when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate or prevent fraud, misappropriation of intellectual property or other illegal activities or to prevent breach of an agreement to which Static West is a party.
