Sarah Jaffe joins the artist roster

Sarah Jaffe has been writing since her teenage years, songs wise and bold well beyond her years. We know her for her expressive voice and suckerpunch songs. They pull you in and envelope you. Jaffe’s latest album began with a drum kit and bass she bought a pawnshop. A departure from her acoustic beginnings, The Body Wins indulges her propensity for instrumental and technological tinkering while retaining the confessional songwriting style that caught so many ears.

Centro-matic, Monahans, ((sounder)) contribute songs to new spots for Chevy

Static West artists Centro-matic, Monahans and ((sounder)) have each contributed songs to 4 new spots created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for Chevy as part of their “Dare To Compare” campaign. The song Iso-Residue from Centro-matic’s latest release Candidate Waltz is featured in a spot showing off the full line of 2012 cars and trucks. Individual spots for Malibu, Cruze and Silverado use Monahans’ Traveling Song, from their album Low Pining. The ((sounder)) song Don’t Bring It To Life from their EP If We Don’t Get Better is being used in a web version of the spots. View all the work here.
